Golden Years

Part of the collective body of work entitled FORM, a representation of 24 years growing up in Canal Street, Newry, hand pierced from a square 150mm sheet of brass. The rings in the kinetic pendant, numbered 1 to 24, are hooked together in order, onto a safety pin made to secure all the pieces in place. The safety pin allows the pendant to be opened and transformed into a necklace, by linking the rings together in order with safety pins. The remnant of the sheet of brass makes a third piece, A Canal Street Shaped Hole pendant.
